and I might be exaggerating a bit. I'm not dying.
But between a bad cold turned sinus infection, shopping for all things TSA approved, and a husband that's working 60 hours a week, we're not what you'd call the life of the party.
(My body likes to start the year off right- this time last year I had a bad case of mono. Awesome immune system over here.)
But lots of life has been happening lately, so I thought I'd
I said goodbye to my days as a primary teacher. I bawled like a baby when they sang me a farewell song, and I already miss their sweet spirits brightening my week. Who will I bake cookies for now?
Christmas is still going for us because we just opened our gifts from my sister this weekend! I love the Kate Spade bracelet and the scarf she got me on her trip to Florence, Italy. I may or may not be wearing it right now..
And I am just in love with my new yellow flats- the result of Christmas gift cards.
My little sister Mack has turned into Sister Wright, missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
She left for the Missionary Training Center this week, and I was able to hear her farewell talk in church on Sunday. It was hard to say goodbye, but she knows that I love her and am praying for her everyday. I was so impressed by her passion. She's determined and ready to serve. I am just so proud of her and so excited to see what Tokyo has in store for this sister missionary!
Speaking of Tokyo, our we found out that we have a substantial layover there on our upcoming vacation.
The bad news: We will be there while Mackenzie is still at the MTC, so there will be no missionary hunting. (like we would have a chance of actually finding her in one of the world's most populated cities)
The good news: I can forever say that I beat her to Tokyo. haha. Big sister wins.
There's a whole lot of daydreaming and planning going on for this vacation. I just love planning trips. A big part of the fun for me is the research- finding the best restaurants, the best views, tips on popular sights. If anyones got some SE Asia tips feel free to send them our way ;)
|Just a sneak peek into the super detailed research.|
So my weekend is full of more travel prep, lots of fluids, and naps. Living the dream baby.
