Pharmacy Bordom

My days not spent as a student in Fullerton or as a newlywed in Tustin, are spent as a pharmacy technician at a little independent pharmacy in Newport Beach. I have worked in a pharmacy since I was 17, and I am lucky to have such a steady job that not many my age have and that I can always fall back on. But man, it can get pretty boring in there.

My favorite way to pass the time is filling prescriptions. I stand with my little spatula and tray, quietly counting by 5's to 30, 60, 90, 120, and 180. Once I get in my groove, I can let my mind drift to other things, and the day passes quickly(Don't worry, the pharmacist makes sure I don't check out completely!).

What also helps are some of the cute shapes and traits that some pills come with. One brand of 100mg spironolactone smells like mint, and Prometrium 100mg are little pink round balls!
The cutest capsules ever, but they roll around too much to count!

Maxzide tablets class it up with little bowties,

Valium shows a little love,
<3 <3
And Klor-con mEq 10 make me hungry for Mentos.
There's one that looks like mini uh-oh oreos, but I can't remember the name! It's fun to ask pharmacists what their favorites are, because they've been working with these endless shelves of pills for years. They also give you great tips like which ones smell like rotten egg or get chalky pill dust all over the counter. These cute little pills help brighten my work days :)
